“We are very excited to be delivering two of Babigloo’s unique music for babies (0-12 months) programmes in Ringwood from 11 October to 6 December. The two sessions were booked up in 72 hours and will take place at:
Carvers Clubhouse, Ringwood TC and Forest Forge Theatre Co.
Both programmes (Mornings and Afternoons) are now fully booked but we will be re-running the sessions in 2023 as they are included in our two years funding from the national Youth Music Charity. Babigloo’s work consists of 8 themed music sessions for babies 0-12 months and include the babies experiencing live music with Guest Musicians, playing everything from Classical music, Pop, Folk and Jazz.

Charmaine Bennett, Event Manager, Ringwood Town Council said:
‘Ringwood Town Council are delighted that families in Ringwood will be able to benefit from these wonderful sessions offered by Babigloo in our family facility on Carvers Recreation Ground. We look forward to seeing the benefit of music on the babies and indeed their carers!”

Sharon Lawless, CEO and Creative Producer Forest Forge Theatre said:
“We are very excited to be partnering with Babigloo, with their unique blend of arts and music for 0-12 month olds. Forest Forge aims to engage with all age groups in the community and having Babigloo run sessions in Ringwood for babies and their parents will support this work and we hope develop audiences for the future. Michele and Colins’ expertise and sensitive understanding of this age group along with the most beautiful guest musicians playing, is what will make these sessions unique and enjoyable.  You are never too young to start to enjoy the arts!”

Concept
Babigloo – Music for Babies is a project which delivers therapeutic music led sessions to parents and babies 0-12 months. The sessions are all non verbal, using vocal and musical rhythms combining classical music and theatre. They are based on an approach by Edwin Gordon which we have studied with SAMP music school in Pousos, Portugal. With our partners we have delivered three Youth Music funded programmes in BCP Council, Dorset (and now Ringwood) through Children’s Centres and Early Years settings from 2018-2022.
