30th July, 11am to 1pm, 13 August from 10am
Be part of a four-part Street Art journey with artist Mike Ness from MBN ARTS, designed for young people aged 11–16. These creative workshops develop real street art skills and lead up to designing and painting a mural at the local skate park. In Session 2 (30 July), participants will build confidence while exploring new techniques in spray painting, lettering, and character design—working both individually and collaboratively to refine their style. Then, in Session 4 (13 August), it’s time for the big finish! Young artists will help bring the mural to life using a colour-by-number system to paint the final design, with guidance from the MBN ARTS team, who will also complete any detailed elements. It’s a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and community!
