What’s on at Carvers Clubhouse?

Activities and Café Opening Hours for Summer 2023

Every Day

Multi-Sports, Drop-In

Carvers Recreation Ground is a 6 acre open space. We have two football goals, a skate park and a table tennis table which are available to use all day, every day. Own equipment required although we have spare bats and balls available when the Clubhouse is open.

This summer, we will make available our tennis courts at the back of the recreation ground towards Ringwood School. These will be open Mondays, 9am-4pm, Tuesday to Friday, 9am-5pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 11am to 3pm. They will be free to use and one court will be set up as tennis and one for basketball/netball. Please note, courts will be available for one hour at a time when busy. To borrow equipment, please pop into the Clubhouse and leave your details.

We will also have a rounders pitch set up and you can borrow equipment to play as well as badminton.

Pop Up Playground | 2:00pm to 5:00pm

 8th August

This is no ordinary stay and play!

Big Blue Play’s Pop Up Playgrounds are filled with ordinary objects used in extraordinary ways through child-led free play.

0-99 year olds are invited to come and play in ways that are meaningful to them.

Play is a process. There isn’t a thing to make, instructions to follow, or something to take home at the end of a session (except memories and endorphins). Children’s brains evolve when they play freely without instructions from an adult.

Carvers Kayak Club | 6.00pm to 7.30pm

 25th July, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th August

No, we haven’t gone mad and built a lake on Carvers! We have teamed up with Ethical Activities to offer the chance for some fun on the water this summer! We will be running 6 weekly evening sessions over the summer holidays, free of charge. Every session will take place at Spinnaker Sailing Club and last 1 and a half hours, led by a fully qualified paddlesport instructor. Suitable for those aged 10-14.

We are prioritising places for young people who have recently experienced some disadvantage or challenge- this could be due to family issues, financial hardship, caring responsibility, difficulty at school and so on. We are keeping that definition quite loose deliberately as recognise that young people may have experienced difficulties recently in very different ways. And we don’t need to know the reason either unless there is something you need to share with us such as medical history.

For more information on how to book, please read Carvers Kayak Club. Each session will be booked on a first come first served basis.

Ringwood Skate Jam | 12:00pm to 4.00pm
